Beam Distributing is a small business with a big business mindset. And the person creating that mindset is owner and president Jackie Long. When she joined Beam in 2005, the company was distributing Pelican flashlights out of a garage. August, 2020, marked Jackie’s 15-year anniversary at Beam. In those years the company has grown enormously, employing over twenty people and carrying not only the full Pelican line of products, but also products from SKB Cases, Princeton Tec, PowerFlare, and more.

When asked about her experiences as a small business owner, Jackie said, “I love the fact that I am able to create jobs in my community. I love being part of a team that collectively helps run this company and helps it grow. It is so rewarding to see the company succeed and grow! I also enjoy the fact that now that I have a team under me, I am able to take some time off when needed.”
